- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Colony Village gets you for your money. Do not move here. After paying our last payment on the lease, while moving out there was a leak in the water heater hose (repeating occurrence). It was reported to Maintenance and taken care of. I received this letter in the mail 2 months later stating that I owe $282.70. Apparently they said it was for the final sewer bill, Oven Cleaning, and Water damage after not being reported( after it was reported, right after it was noticed). At first I would have recommended this place, now I do not want anyone else cheated out of their money.By Justin Key, November 26, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Absolutely horrible place to live!! I almost feel like living in public housing would be better. The apartments are infested with roaches and rats. The apartments are constructed poorly. My air conditioner has stopped working three times, my outside water line has broke twice (both resulting in high utilities), my floors squeak throughout the whole house, the lenolium is peeling up, the paper off of the kitchen cabinets is peeling. Over the 4th of July holiday weekend I was one day late paying my rent and they charged me for a late fee...mind you the other 14 payments I’ve made have been on time or early. There are a bunch of bad kids from a neighboring complex that come here and break things and break into the pool. The apartment managers solution...shut the pool down for everyone. Loud music and people outside drinking at night keeping those of us that actually work awake at night. I’ve had 5 rats in my apartment. Terminix came and put out some traps but they haven’t been back in a week or two to check the traps and set out more bait. I’ve been without hot water for three days now because of the water line. I’ve only lived here for about 14 months and I can’t wait to find a new place to live!! If you’re moving to New Bern and you’re looking for an apartment go to Woodland Crossing or for an extra $100-$200/month you can go to the Reserve of Glenburnie.By Bobby McKone, July 30, 2017
